nG E A Malta-born designer educated in Malta, Switzerland, England and Italy. In 1991 he graduated in industrial design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan. The following year, he obtained a master’s degree in industrial design at the Domus Academy in Milan. In 2002 he founded Studio Gordon Guillaumier in Milan, which designs products for international companies ranging from upholstered furniture to ceramics. His work includes artistic direction and interiors. His approach combines balance with attention for visual, tactile and textural aspects. Awards include the Wallpaper Design Award 2014, an honourable mention for the XXIV Compasso d’Oro in 2016, the ADI Ceramic Design Award 2016, and a NYCxDesign Award 2019. He lectured at Milan Polytechnic Faculty of Industrial Design and at Abadir Design Academy. At RODA, he is part of the team for artistic direction. TA I Designer di origine maltese, si è formato a Malta, in Svizzera, in Inghilterra e in Italia. Si è diplomato in industrial design presso lo IED di Milano e ha poi conseguito un master in industrial design presso la Domus Academy. Nel 2002 apre il suo studio a Milano e si dedica al design di prodotto per aziende internazionali, spaziando nella progettazione tra diverse categorie, dagli imbottiti alle ceramiche. Pratica consulenza strategica e svolge lavori di interior design. Il suo approccio – tra prodotto e progetti residenziali – si fonda sull’equilibro e l’attenzione all’aspetto visivo, tattile e materico. Tra i riconoscimenti ottenuti: Wallpaper Design Award 2014, Menzione d’onore al XXIV Compasso d’Oro (2016), ADI Design Ceramic Award 2016, NYCxDESIGN Awards 2019. Ha insegnato alla Facoltà di Disegno Industriale del Politecnico di Milano e ad Abadir, Accademia di Design e Arti visive. Per RODA, è nel team incaricato della direzione artistica.
