L’intera collezione si basa su strutture a sezione tonda, lontane dalla tradizionale sezione quadrata che definisce larga parte dell’arredo outdoor. Come fossero fatte di bastoni semplicemente accostati, appoggiati a quota zero, le strutture di Ayana sono realizzate in teak naturale, non verniciato in modo da garantire al legno di maturare ed evolvere nella maniera più genuina, rispettando le caratteristiche intrinseche di questo materiale. Una scelta ancestrale, che ricorda strumenti antichi o magari costruzioni primitive, che tuttavia nasconde soluzioni tecniche di assoluto ingegno. Le strutture sono contraddistinte anche dalla presenza di incastri invisibili che non prevedono l’aggiunta di elementi metallici quali viti o giunti, ma soltanto spine di legno. Una scelta estetica, ma anche funzionale: infatti in questo modo si permette al legno di seguire naturalmente le sue trasformazioni al variare delle condizioni atmosferiche, senza però causare fessurazioni o deformazioni irreversibili. The entire collection is based on structures with a round section, a far cry from the traditional square section that defines many outdoor furnishings. As if they were made of sticks simply set next to one another, the Ayana structures are made of natural teak. The wood is unpainted to allow it to age and evolve in the most genuine way, respecting the intrinsic characteristics of this material. An ancestral choice that recalls ancient tools and primitive constructions, which however conceals ingenious technical solutions. The structures are also distinguished by the presence of invisible joints that do not include metal elements such as screws, but only wooden pins. An aesthetic choice that is also a functional one: in fact, this allows the wood to continue its transformations as weather conditions change, without however causing irreversible cracking or deformation. Ha eccellenti caratteristiche di resistenza agli agenti atmosferici, alla salsedine, all’umidità e alle escursioni termiche grazie alla presenza al suo interno di una resina oleosa. Il Serpentino della Valmalenco è una pietra ornamentale e da costruzione utilizzata in edilizia e nell’arredamento. Possiede caratteristiche fisiche ed estetiche che lo rendono estremamente durevole e pregiato. Trova naturale impiego nella realizzazione di rivestimenti di stufe, esterni e interni di edifici e complementi d’arredo. Il Serpentino a spacco, in virtù della sua grana molto fine e della marcata foliazione, viene lavorato prevalentemente in lastre di vario spessore, leggere e impermeabili. Split Serpentine, owing to its very fine grain and distinct foliation, is mainly worked into slabs of various thicknesses, which are lightweight and waterproof.
